The New Music Forum (NMF) meets in the Turner-Dodge House (100 E. North St., Lansing). Concerts in its 2023–2024 season occur at 7pm on 9/21, 10/19, 11/16, 1/11*, 2/15, 3/21, and 4/18 (*1/11 is a 2nd Thursday). For more information see the season schedule or visit the events page, which ordinarily updates at least a few weeks in advance of scheduled events.

The purpose of the NMF is to build diverse communities around artistic experimentalism. It supports local talent and has hosted numerous world-class visiting artists, including composers Stephen Rush and Joo Won Park, dancer Nic Gareiss, soprano Josefine Stoppelenburg, and others.

We want to partner with you. There are numerous opportunities for community members of all ages, backgrounds, and interests to get involved. Plan programs, design promotional materials, canvas in surrounding neighborhoods, prepare and serve food, decorate, document, and perform. We have learning opportunities and rewarding outlets for everyone. No volunteer will be turned away. Please get in touch.
